Rawaken is a free Android app with optional in-app support. It does not create an account for you and does not sell personal information.
What the app processes
- Google Play purchases. If you choose to support the app, Google Play handles payment. We send a Play purchase token to our backend only to confirm that the purchase is valid and to unlock in-app features (full archive text, unlimited saves, deeper Field history, ad-free). We do not receive your card number.
- 7-day membership trial. If you start a trial, the app sends a hashed device identifier (SHA-256 of Android ID, not the raw id) and a Play Integrity token to our server. We store a 7-day clock as a private object so uninstalling does not reset the trial on the same profile. This is not an account. The hash is not shared with ad networks. Sideloaded installs may run a local clock only.
- Questions you send to Ask. If you ask a question, the app sends the question text, an optional display name or handle you type, a hashed device identifier (SHA-256 of Android ID, not the raw id), and your membership state to our server. The question is stored as a private object so the operator can read and answer it. If the question is answered, the question text and display name are published in the app's public Ask feed for everyone to read. Your device hash is never published. You can ask us to remove a question at the addresses below.
- Field data. The app requests derived spectrogram and space-weather summaries from our server. Those payloads are public geophysical reconstructions, not information about you.
- On-device preferences. Favorites, the last entitlement grant, the usage-analytics opt-out, and cached catalog/wallpaper files stay on your device.
- Advertising (free readers only). If you are not a member (a 7-day trial counts as membership), the app initializes Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) as the ad mediation host. LevelPlay may load ads and may pass the request to Meta Audience Network and Liftoff Monetize as bidders. Those SDKs may use the device advertising ID and standard ad-delivery signals. Members do not initialize the ad SDK and do not see ads. Ads never appear on the Today photo, the Field spectrogram, or during an active Practice sit.
- Usage analytics (optional). Unless you turn it off in More, the app sends usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC). That includes which tab is open, whether a Field window loaded, when a Practice sit starts, when the member sheet opens, and which Support product succeeded. Each event includes a Firebase app-instance id, app version, device model, and OS version. We do not send your advertising ID, name, email, purchase token, transmission text, or Field amplitude values to Analytics. The advertising ID is used only by the ad SDKs for free readers. You can turn usage analytics off in More, or clear app storage to drop the local app-instance id.
What we do not do
- No account, and no advertising ID used for analytics.
- No scraping of X.com or observatory sites from the phone.
- We do not use Field readings as health, mood, or biometric data.
